How can I create different categories for hours but still add them to the Total Hours in the Log Book?
Read on if you would like to break down the hours volunteers spend in different areas or on different tasks, but still save them in the official System: Hours field so that they can be used for reporting and approval.
Samaritan has the ability to utilize and create the Sum of Numeric Fields in Surveys so that Volunteers can report a breakdown of hours by task, but still funnel the hours to the appropriate data field "Hours." This field is what shows on the volunteer dashboard, used in Sign-In Stations, etc.
To utilize this feature, create Logged Data fields that are "numeric" type.
