[What's New](https://help.samaritan.com/whats-new?hsLang=en) # How to send an automated private message to a volunteer during Sign-In Station log in Have you ever wanted to recognize a volunteer's birthday or remind them of something due automatically upon their signing into a Sign-In Station?  Here is how to set up a one-time message to display when a volunteer logs in using a Sign-In Station. Click on Tools\>Administrative Options\>**[Automations](https://help.samaritan.com/automations?hsLang=en) ** Click on the New button on the lower left-hand part of the screen Make sure the Type is Volunteer ![SIS Type](https://help.samaritan.com/hs-fs/hubfs/SIS%20Type.png?width=685&height=684&name=SIS%20Type.png) Create a Name for your Automation ![SIS Name](https://help.samaritan.com/hs-fs/hubfs/SIS%20Name.png?width=685&height=684&name=SIS%20Name.png) Enter a Description (optional)![Sign-in Description](https://help.samaritan.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Sign-in%20Description.png?width=685&height=684&name=Sign-in%20Description.png) Click Next to set Permissions as needed ![SIS Permissions](https://help.samaritan.com/hs-fs/hubfs/SIS%20Permissions.png?width=685&height=344&name=SIS%20Permissions.png) Click Next to set the Trigger. For example,  we have it set to Schedule and to run Daily at 9:00 am![SIS Trigger-1](https://help.samaritan.com/hs-fs/hubfs/SIS%20Trigger-1.png?width=685&height=428&name=SIS%20Trigger-1.png) Click Next to set the Apply To.
