Have you ever wanted to recognize a volunteer's birthday or remind them of something due automatically upon their signing into a Sign-In Station? Here is how to set up a one-time message to display when a volunteer logs in using a Sign-In Station.
On the Volunteer tab, click on Email
Click on Sign-in
Add a Subject and a Message to the body, Email and Text Messaging
Save your message as a template for use in your automation on the next set of steps
Next, you will want to create an automation.
Click on Tools>Administrative Options>Automations
Click on the New button on the lower left-hand part of the screen
Make sure the Type is Volunteer
Create a Name for your Automation
Enter a Description (optional)
Click Next to set Permissions as needed
Click Next to set the Trigger. For example, we have it set to Schedule and to run Daily at 9:00 am
Click Next to set the Apply To. For example, we have set up a grid that has Birthday = Today
The final part is to click on Send Sign-In Message and add the template we created in the first step
