      Surveys on Sign-In Stations (SIS)

      There are three steps to add a survey to a Sign-In Station:

      1. Configure the survey
      2. Configure the Sign-In Station
      3. Connect the Survey & Sign-in Station to the Opportunity

      Note: Surveys and Sign-In Stations are not directly connected. They are each connected through the Opportunity.

      Let's walk through each step!

      Configure the Survey

      Configure a Survey (Opportunity Based) to be used with a Sign-In Station (SIS) by going to the advanced survey options image-20240408-203434

      Take in SIS 

      • Make sure that the Take In Sign-In Station is checked

      • Create the Survey (Opportunity Based) and include logged data fields based on the questions that the survey asks. See Survey Basics for more information

      • Create a grid in the log books that corresponds with the survey, inserting the survey titles and the logged data fields used. (Make sure to save the grid and lock down all the settings)

      Configure the Sign-In Station


      Configure the station using any method except Roster Mode, go to Survey Options, and choose Enable additional survey prompt:

      Select when you would like the volunteer to complete the survey:

      Upon sign IN would include wellness checks or any other data that needs to be gathered at the beginning of the shift, or a general volunteer survey about their experience.

      Upon sign Out would include questions about the service performed during their shift, or a general volunteer survey about their experience.

      Note: Surveys can be used before sign  in or sign out, but not both.

      Connect the Survey & Sign-In Station to the Opportunity

      Tip: Use only one survey per opportunity to avoid confusion.

      From the Opportunity Surveys tab, 1) find the correct survey 2) use the  >> to attach,  and 3) Save & Close.

      From the Sign-In Tab, select the correct Station

      Here is what this will look like when a volunteer uses the configured Sign-In Station:


      Upon Sign IN

      After clicking the sign-in button, the volunteer is presented with the survey to be taken before the sign-in action is completed.

      Upon Sign OUT

      The first screen will appear:

      After clicking the Take Survey button, the volunteer is presented with the survey to be taken before the sign-out action is completed.

      The survey is completed and the OK button to save to get to the last screen to complete the sign-out.
